3.1 Policy statement

An Environmental Management System (EMS) is similar to other management systems, such as those that manage quality or safety. It assesses an organisation’s strengths and weaknesses, helps identify and manage significant impacts, saves money by increasing efficiency, ensures compliance with environmental legislation, and provides benchmarks for improvements.

ISO 14001:2015 is an internationally accepted standard that sets out a framework of essential elements for putting an effective Environmental Management System (EMS) in place. The standard is designed to address the delicate balance between maintaining efficiency and reducing environmental impact. With the commitment of the organisation, it can enable Autolomous to achieve both objectives.

Autolomous Ltd (the ‘Organisation’) recognises the importance of environmental protection and is committed to operating its business responsibly and in fulfilment of its compliance obligations, protecting the environment and reducing its environmental impact across its services and operations. It is the Organisation’s declared policy to operate with and maintain good relations with relevant regulatory bodies.

It is the Organisation’s objective to carry out all necessary activities, to protect the environment and to continually improve the Environmental Management System through the implementation of the following policy commitments.
