Every manual entry in a manufacturing process is a chance for a transcription error, a deviation and a delay – and in advanced therapy manufacturing, those entries run into the thousands.

In a real-world AAV manufacturing case study, digitalising the process with autoloMATE reduced manual data entries across the end-to-end process from 5,804 to 3,647 – a 37% reduction. That reduction is driven by the integration of data directly from source systems, calculations automated rather than performed by hand, and known values pre-filled by default instead of re-entered at every step.

Simplifying data capture in this way means fewer opportunities for error, less time spent at the point of execution, and a cleaner data set for review and release. With further integration and automation, the manual data burden could be reduced even more.
